Jinna - Yunah (Walking Town Tour)

The easily
accessible walking tour takes visitors on a moderate walk across the town
bridge to the pristine floodplains at the mouth of the Gascoyne River. Along
the way hear stories of traditional Yinggarda life and the impacts of
colonisation. Visit an area abundant in traditional bushfoods, medicine plants
and wildlife. At certain times of the year the bush here is ablaze with
colourful and delicate wildflowers and in early spring, hidden claypans erupt
with the frenzied mating season of the Burrowing Bee. Learn how these and other
natural events were important seasonal indicators that the Yinggarda people
lived by.
